Outdoor Learning

In Britain there has been a growing interest in Forest Schools. During the last couple of years, our outdoor learning provisions have come to life for children in Reception all the way through to Year 6.

Our outdoor classroom area is most certainly one good thing to come out of the first lockdown in 2020. The areas of our outdoor classroom include: sensory pathway, critter corner, construction area, forest play area as well as outdoor benches and a gazebo to provide shelter.

Our outdoor classroom is an inspirational place that provides children opportunities to achieve, and develop confidence through hands-on and child-led learning opportunities in a woodland environment. In this natural setting, children are able to learn outside of their normal classroom taking part in activities linking directly to the national and school curriculum which facilitates meaningful experiences for positive lifelong impacts.

Each class will participate in activities such as: bug hunting, bird watching, creating sculptures, making habitats, observing plants, den building and more!
