Our Vision:

At Coton Green Primary School, we aim to promote the development of secure, happy, well-adjusted individuals who are equipped for lifelong learning.

Our Aims:

  • Provide a curriculum which is knowledge-rich, wide, progressive, purposeful and connects to our community and the world we live in
  • Create an environment of excellence in which the children (& adults) feel motivated, secure and happy
  • Enable each child, through fostering high expectations, to grow and develop intellectually, physically, spiritually, and aesthetically in order to enable him/her to achieve their potential
  • Develop attitudes which will be positively helpful to the individual child, the whole school and to society in general
  • Foster excellent relationships among all staff, children, parents and the community and promote equality of opportunity

Our Ethos

Our ethos and atmosphere underpin the aims of the school. Teachers provide a curriculum which is knowledge-rich, wide, progressive, purposeful and connects to our community and the world we live in. In the course of their daily work, the staff contribute to the development of this ethos through:

  • Providing an appropriate effective working environment at all times, in which each child can achieve his or her maximum potential.
  • Providing a welcoming environment, in which courtesy, kindness and respect are fostered.
  • Providing positive role models.
  • Providing a fair and disciplined environment, in line with the school’s Behaviour policy.
  • Developing links with the wider community.
  • Providing children with meaningful, purposeful tasks, related to the National Curriculum programmes of study and Early Learning Goals.
  • Valuing and celebrating pupil’s success and achievements.
  • Reviewing personal and professional development by providing appropriate INSET, training and support from colleagues in order to ensure a high level of professional expertise.
